2011 end of year gathering

It was a time to reflect, meet, gather and bond for Wings Athletic Club member. The short retreat by our members was held on 2nd December, Friday, 2012. The venue was the on-campus graduate guild at National University of Singapore. Our guest of honour includes former 800 metres world record holder Mr. Wilson Kipketer, SAA Mr. Loh Chan Pew and sprint legend Mr. C. Kunalan who graced the event.

President Opening Address

Current Wings President, Mr. Eric Wong opening address. He highlights current year achievements to what our members can expect in the coming years.

Wings to be progressive

Wings second Vice-President Emily Huang touched on Wings new and progressive vision & objectives.

Awards Recipients

Wings wants to recognise the contribution and effort by our athletes and coaches.

The award winners includes:

• Mr. Melvin Tan awarded Best Coach 2011
• Mr. James Wong awarded Best Athlete 2011
• Ms. Wan Lay Chi awarded Most Improved 2011
• Mr. Steven Quek & Mr. John Seem awarded Coaching & Mentoring, in recognition of their contribution.
• Lim Yao Peng, Kenneth Khoo, Gary Yeo and Sha for their passion & dedication.

Wilson Kipketer Speech

Wilson Kipketer is the current indoor world records at the 1000 and 800 metres distance. He formerly holds the outdoor 800 metres record.
